MPC Applauds Shah Nomination

WASHINGTON - The Malaria Policy Center and Malaria No More applauds President Obama on the nomination of Dr. Rajiv Shah to be Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
As the agency responsible for carrying out the work of the President's Malaria Initiative and a number of global health efforts, USAID is poised to continue down the path that will allow the world to achieve disease elimination.
"USAID will have in Dr. Shah an experienced global health and development advocate and implementer," said Mark Green, Managing Director of the Malaria Policy Center and former Ambassador to Tanzania. "The mission of ridding the world of malaria is one unmatched in importance and we look forward to working with Dr. Shah to improve international development and realize a day when malaria is no more."
